Tom Randall, DVM
Dr. Randall is the owner and head
veterinarian. He graduated from the University of Minnesota
College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. He has owned the Forest
Lake Veterinary Hospital since 1997. As a general practitioner Dr.
Randall enjoys all areas of medicine and surgery. Six years at a
practice that included an emergency service fostered a special interest
in emergency medicine and surgery. His favorite part of practice
remains new puppy and kitten exams. He is married and has two
children. His hobbies include playing
with the kids, coaching and watching said children in numerous
sports venues, geocaching, running and an occasional triathlon or
marathon. The Randalls have 2 cats (Frisco and Maggie) and one
dog, Kipper.
Barb Lorinser, DVM
Dr.
Lorinser is a 2005 graduate of the University of
Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. After
veterinary
school, she worked for the Animal Humane
Society as a
shelter veterinarian both doing high-volume spay-neuter surgeries on
cats,
dogs, and rabbits of all ages as well as addressing the medical needs
of
animals at the shelter. While she found
shelter work very rewarding, she missed the interaction with clients
and the
long-term relationships with clients and their pets and thus decided to
make
the move to private practice in July 2008. Dr.
Barb
lives in Hugo with her husband Tim, their son
Wyatt, and are
expecting a baby this December. They
also share their home with a menagerie of pets – including the
occasional
foster animal for special cases. Dr.
Barb still has a special interest in rescue work but enjoys the
challenge of
all aspects of general practice.
Marie Louderback, DVM
Dr. Louderback is also a graduate of the
University of
Minnesota's College of Veterinary Medicine. She
moved
to Minnesota in 2000 with her husband and 2
children. They share their home with two
cats, Snoopy
and Little Yellow, and a miniature pinscher named Peanut.
Her favorite part of being a vet is working
with geriatric pets and helping to improve their quality of life! Away from work, she enjoys playing with her
children, going to movies and canoeing.

Angela,
Technician
Angela is a 2001 graduate of the Medical Institute
of Minnesota. She has worked with us since January of 2002.
She enjoys the many aspects of her job that allow her the opportunity
to
not only contribute to the health of pets with homes, but also to the
many lucky homeless kittens and puppies that we help here. She
currently resides in Wyoming with her husband, Kevin. Angela’s
compassion for animals has left her with 6 horses, 5 dogs, 7 cats, a
chinchilla and a guinea pig.
Jennifer,
Technician
Jen has been with us since April of 2003. When
physical therapy assisting didn’t agree with her, Jen decided to follow
her heart and entered the world of veterinary medicine. Her love
for animals is now shared in both career and home lives.
Jen currently has 3 pets– 2 dogs
(Pebbles the rottweiler and Izzy the chihuahua)
and 1 horse (Binta, an arabian). If she isn’t playing with, or
taking care of, her four-legged kids, she is enjoying the outdoors.
Molly, Veterinary Clinical Assistant
Molly joined our practice in February 2004.
She graduated from Duluth Business University with a degree as a
Veterinary Clinical Assistant in 1995. She and her husband, Bobby
have two children, Brady and Emily. Welcoming Brady and Emily
into their home are two dogs, Gracie (Hungarian Vizsla) and Manny
(Chocolate Lab), and four cats (Diabla, Dixie, Coco and Guzie).
Kelly,
Certified
Veterinary Technician
Kelly joined our practice in March 2008. She
came to us with 8 years of experience as a certified veterinary
technician. She graduated from the Medical Institute of Minnesota
in 2001. Kelly enjoys all aspects of her job, especially helping
sick animals recover and educating owners about their pets. She
also really enjoys meeting puppies and kittens for the first time and
watching them grow to be healthy adults. Kelly lives in Hugo with
her husband Dave and their two daughters, Emily and Mackenzie.
They also have two pets, Hobey Baker (a chocolate lab) and Josey Wales
(a black and while cat).
